Welcome
to
Jenkins Engineering Limited. We are a precision engineering
company that has been established in our current location,
Maidenhead, Berkshire, for the last 25 years. We have built
up a customer base over this time, providing CNC milling
and
turning. Our customer base is primarily made up of clients
that service the automotive, aviation, railway, petro-chemical
and electronics industries. We are a dynamic and forward
thinking
company that has constantly invested in new technology in
order to offer our customers the best possible service. All
our machining centres are less than five years old, our latest
investments being a DMC 1035V Vertical Machining Centre installed
in February 2007 and a 2.2 metre capacity DMF 220 Linear
Vertical Machining Centre installed
in January
2005.

CNC
Precision Machining
We
offer CNC precision machining, milling and turning. As well
a working to conventional drawings, we are able to work with
DXF, IGES and PDF files, sent either by e-mail or supplied
on disc. We work with a variety of materials including steel,
aluminium, brass, copper, plastic, and exotics, such as titanium
& gun metal. Our strength is our experience of working
with different materials in many diverse industries. We also
source welding, fabrication, and finishing which enables us
to offer a complete service to you, the customer. |

Capacity
One
of our principle strengths is our capacity. Both of the Deckel
Maho DMF 220 machines offer a maximum machining capacity of
2200mm in the x axis, 560mm in the Y axis and 720mm in the
Z axis. Also, coupled with our overhead cranes, which are
capable of lifting 1000kg, we offer a capacity in both size
and weight that not many can match in the South of England.

Background
Jenkins
Engineering Limited was established in 1979
as a partnership, the principal partner being Cliff
Jenkins and
employs 6 people. We are based in Maidenhead in close proximity
to the M4, M3 and M40 motorways and ideally placed
for business
across all of England. From 1st January 2008 the Jenkins
Engineering Services became
incorporated and is now trading as Jenkins Engineering Limited.
In
the first years we made gravity dies for making aluminium
castings for many of the local foundries, at that time there
were approximately 8 of them, but as the foundries fell by
the wayside we felt there was a need to diversify, so we started
to do some general machining.
As
the demands of manufacturing changed, we changed with it by
investing in CNC machining centres, retraining our staff and
recruiting when necessary to become the precision engineering
company we are today.
Over
the last 4 years we have re-equipped entirely with DMG machines
on the milling side, and with all these machines having Renishaw
probes fitted to speed up the setting up process and do “on
machine inspection” we are truly in the realms of precision
machining.
